Using VoiceFrequency
These terms cover voicefrequency.com, our podcast feeds and our shows. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. “We” and “us” means VoiceFrequency Network.
Listening
Our shows are free to listen to for your own personal, non-commercial use. You’re welcome to stream them here, follow them in a podcast app, download episodes to listen offline, and share links to our pages and episodes.
What we ask you not to do
- Don’t re-upload, rebroadcast, sell or publish our audio, scripts or artwork anywhere else without our written permission.
- Don’t use our audio, scripts or artwork to train AI models.
- Don’t interfere with the site, or download from it at a volume that disrupts it for other people.
Who owns what
The shows, recordings, scripts, music, sound and artwork on VoiceFrequency belong to VoiceFrequency Network or to the partners credited on a show’s page. The books in Classic Readings are in the public domain, but our recordings and artwork of them are ours.
Some of our shows discuss real television programs, books and people. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners, and we use them only to talk about the work.
How our shows are made
We make our shows with AI audio tools, such as ElevenLabs. Two kinds of voices are heard on them:
- Our hosts’ own voices. Some hosts are real people, and what you hear is either actual recordings of them or their own voice, recreated with AI from recordings of them and used with their permission. When a voice is recreated, the delivery is generated rather than recorded live.
- Synthetic voices. Other voices, including all of the characters in our dramas, come from these tools’ libraries of synthetic voices. They aren’t the voices of our hosts, and they aren’t meant to sound like any real person in the story.
Our music and sound effects are generated with AI too.
Fiction, such as Last Night on WVFQ and Light Delay, is invented. Its characters, companies and events are made up, and any resemblance to real people or organizations is a coincidence.
Non-fiction is researched and fact-checked, but it may still contain mistakes. It isn’t professional advice of any kind.
